Renee H. Kelsch, born February 18, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2025, with her children by her side. She is the daughter of the late of Calvin and Betty and sister to the late Calvin Jr.
Renee spent her early years in Connecticut and New York City. She married her first husband and together they had two children, Michelle and David. She later settled in Westhampton Beach, where she spent 20 happy years. There, she married Jack Kelsch (predeceased), forming cherished friendships that endured throughout her life.
Renee and Jack moved to Palm Beach Gardens over 36 years ago, settling into a home that became her pride and joy. She never stopped decorating, her impeccable style and eye for beauty were unmatched. She created a home that reflected her class and grace.
Renee enjoyed over 20 years at Bloomingdale’s, where her love of fashion was rivalled only by her love of shopping. Later, she embraced croquet which brought her joy, friendships, and endless social gatherings. Her poise, humor, and vibrant spirit lit up every room she entered.
She is survived by her beloved children and four adored grandchildren, Michelle’s son Tyler and daughter Madeline and David’s daughters, Vivian and Lillyana. Renee was endlessly proud of each of them.
When she wasn’t out and about—which was rare—Renee could be found on the phone, catching up with her many friends. She loved “scintillating” conversation, a bit of gossip, and had an endless collection of sayings that will live on with those who loved her. Whether she was off to “chrokey” or sharing her thoughts about “President Trumpet,” she always signed off with, “Be good to God and your country, Darling.”
Renee lived life beautifully. She will be deeply missed.
