Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Richard (Dick) Grupp, left us to go be with the Lord on August 1, 2017. He was 87 years old. As the youngest Dick was preceded in death by his entire family and more recently by his most beloved wife, Caroline, who passed away on March 16, 2017. He is survived by his five children, Linda, Michael, Elizabeth, Philip and Jenny and their families. Dick was ever so proud of his large family which includes 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many by marriage whom he loved dearly. After leaving Miami Dick and Caroline moved to Tequesta, FL, where they resided for 19 years in the Little Club community. Dick was an active Gideon’s International member for over 50 years. Dick and Caroline loved to travel, and cruising was their favorite. Their highlight trip was to Europe for their 50th anniversary. Dick cherished those memories for many years to come. He had a tremendous love for card games, chess, golf and his favorite sports teams. He loved the beach and spent many days in the water. Dick was a tireless, energetic and positive person whose zest for life was insatiable. We will truly miss our family patriarch, Richard Henry Grupp, but his memory and legacy will live on for generations to come. We love you, Dad! A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at Living Oaks Church of God, 14156 64th Drive North, Palm Beach Gardens, FL on Monday, August 7th with visitation starting at 9:30 AM, service at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gideon’s International, Palm Beach North Camp, PO Box 8373, Jupiter, FL 33468 for the purchase of Bibles.
