Richard was such a huge part of my life growing up.  I have so many memories of us together.  As we got older and our paths separated I often would reminisce of our time together.  I always will.  Richard was a super-caring friend who always put others before himself.  His friendship was genuine and one that will stay with me forever.  I truly believe in my heart that God has Richard in heaven, a place where he is free of any troubles.  If I had to guess as to what he’s doing, I’d bet he’s fishing somewhere trying to hook a nice bluefish.  Save a spot for me.  Love you!

I was so upset that I think I posted the same thing twice.I know Richard will laugh and appreciate that! While I am writing this, I remember going to the beach with Richard, Marie, John, Frank,and myself. We had so much fun running in the waves and building sand castles.

I am so glad that you got to spend these last few weeks making great memories together. I am sure that he is at peace now, without pain,  and that he is watching over all of you. I thought I would share one of my favorite memory's of Richard with you, it revolves around Nakita. 

My dad, Valerie, Richard and I went to the movies and, without Marie's sense of reason to stop us, ended up buying the dog instead. While the parents filled out the paperwork, Richard and I played with her and discussed our future training plans for her, sleeping arrangements, etc. Can you image grown adults in a puppy shop acting more like to small children that were getting their very first pet? I think it was love at first sight between the two of them! Later when Richard was headed back to NY, I remember him mentioning his plans to take the dog with him (in his carry-on). I swear if nobody was paying attention that dog would have ended up in NY!

I remember Richard following us around all the time. Trying to get our attention by being silly. He was lucky to have Marie as a sister-she always looked out for him.

I am sorry I am not there with you guys. Rich is on my mind and in my prayers . He is at peace now and with God, family, and friends. May God bless you for being there for him and giving him comfort during his last days.He  knows  his family was there for him. Love Mark.

Dear Uncle Frank, Aunt Valerie and Marie,  my sincere condolences to you.  I know how you guys feel with losing Richard as I felt a major loss with Alex.  You must always remember how blessed you guys are to have had Richard in your lives.  This thing we call life is a journey to know God better and I feel in my heart Richard drew closer to God during his illeness.  I know death is hard, but remember that Jesus conquered death for us.
