

It is with a heavy sense of loss that we announce the passing of Richard Stewart “Dick” Walter, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. Born on July 7, 1940 in Silver Spring, Md. He left us peacefully Sunday August 3rd the age of 85.
A life filled with family, friends and adventures, Dick is survived by 2 sons and one daughter; Richard Walter (Lenora), Ronald Walter (Margie) and Wendy Greenling. He was the proud grandfather of Danny, Kate, Victoria, Hunter, Kenny and great grandfather to Hudson. All of whom brought much joy to his life.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jane of 57 years, his parents Thomas and Adelaide, and his siblings Norma, Dorothy, and Thomas.
He was a family man and father, who loved fishing, boating, camping and just about any activity the beautiful Florida surroundings could provide.
He was a United States Navy veteran and career elevator man, eventually achieving the position of Chief Elevator Inspector of Broward county FL.
He will be mostly remembered for being liked by all who knew him, a fair, decent man. He was always there to help anyone who needed it. He will be missed by all.
A funeral service will be held September 6th, 2025 at 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Church 10180 W Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL 33478. A graveside service will follow at 12PM at Riverside Memorial Park 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469.
