
Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army, and while he was stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life, Margot. They got married very soon after.
When they returned to the U.S., Robert went back to school to complete his Bachelor’s degree at Ohio State University. From there on, he continued his education by gaining a Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University, and then graduated with a PhD in higher education from University of New Mexico.
Robert valued education and had the talent and passion to help others learn in ways that many couldn’t. He worked as a professor as well as the Division Chairperson of Humanities and Arts at the New Mexico Jr. College, in Hobbs, NM. Throughout his life he was also very actively involved at church, which included St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Hobbs, NM; St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, NM; and Church of Good Shepherd, Tequesta, FL.
After retirement, Robert and his wife moved to Florida.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and was very active in the lives of his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margot; daughters, Gabriela Pino (Carmen) and Bonnie Boll; grandchildren, Robert, Stefanie, Christopher, Noah and Timothy Pino.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
