

Bob, a graduate of The Ohio State University and George Washington Law School. He worked as a Patent Attorney for several firms including RCA, Mohawk Data Sciences Corp., General Signal and Ohlandt, Greeley, and Perle LLP. Raised in Canton, Ohio he moved to Washington, DC, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York and Connecticut. He and his wife retired to Florida in 2018.
For the past two years he lived at the wonderful skilled nursing facility of the Waterford. Besides being a loving husband, father, stepdad, son and brother he was a kind, loving individual who cared deeply about so many. For years Bob did prison ministry in Connecticut and was involved in Tres Dias, Appalachian Service project and volunteered as a mentor for several Confirmation children at church. He also donated time to feed the hungry at the Local Soup Kitchen in Connecticut. Bob had a warm smile that brought joy to others. Besides traveling with his wife and vacationing with his children in Ocean City, NJ, Bob loved UConn Women's basketball, the New York Jets and became a Yankee fan later in life. His favorite singer was Ella Fitzgerald and loved the Big Band Sounds. Bob will be missed by his family and all who came to know and love him.
Bob had a passion for playing baseball coaching his kids and attending New York Yankees games with them and his grandchildren. One treasured memory of his youth was meeting Cy Young and receiving a signed baseball card that he kept throughout his life.
Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rev. Dr. Marion (Ryan) Hubbard; his seven children, Lois Zedack (David) of Mexico, NY, Lori Hubbard of Cincinnati, OH, Robert J. Hubbard (Jhie) of Charlotte, NC, Kelly Thomas (Michael) of Cincinnati, OH, Donald Hubbard (Annie) of Lynnfield, MA, Kerry Marinkov (Steve) of Avon, OH and Kim Jones (Scott) of Cincinnati, OH; three step-children, Loretta Dalgleish (Steve) of Woodbury, CT, Kathleen McMahon (Charlie Brisson) of Coventry, CT and Robert McMahon (Irina) of Palm Coast, FL; his two sisters, Carolyn McQueen of N. Canton, OH and Jane James of Urbana, IL; 21 grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob (Caitlyn), Carolyn, Harrison, Hannah, Hailey, Emily, Kathryn, Nick, Morgan, Michael, Kayla, Alyssa, Camryn, Carson, Charles, Henry, Sofia, Andrea, Lillian and Liam; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Kathryn Hubbard; his brother, George Hubbard; his sister, Joanne Moock and Carol Hubbard the mother of his seven children.
