

He loved entertaining family and friends, fishing, skiing, billiards, sailing, hunting, archery, sports, horses, and raised national and international champion Airedale Terriers for many years.
Bob was the Founder, President, and CEO of Construction Technology, Inc. of West Palm Beach, Florida where he was known by those who touched his professional life as a great teacher and mentor. He completed his Baccalaureate of Science degree in Civil Engineering at Michigan Tech in 1961 and from there went on to work as an engineer for the state of California. In 1969 he joined Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation as a Plant Manager.
In 1983 he left Kaiser Corporation, where he was the Senior Field Engineer and District Sales Manager of Highway & Marine Products, to found his own company, Construction Technology, Inc., and obtained his general contractors license. Con-Tech specialized in excellence for all phases of design and construction of marine complexes, seawalls, and other marine-related projects. In 1989 his company was listed as one of the fastest-growing, privately-held companies in the US.
He was passionate about flying, became a private pilot, and completed his first solo flight in 1977. In 2002 he was inducted into the Civil and Environmental Engineering Academy at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
Bob was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers - Engineers in Construction, Florida Engineering Society, Associated General Contractors, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the President of the Sacramento Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Bob, originally from Ironwood, Michigan, is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary F. Luther; their three adult children, Theresa Luther Pearson, Bree L. Luther and Lisa Cook; five sisters, Geri Cole, Carolyn Pulver, Susie Przybylski, Connie Luther, Becky Wiswell; five grandchildren, Kevin Michael Silli, Kristen Marie Egger, Lauren Silli Garlock, Marshall Robert Egger and Logan Reid Cook and 26 cherished nieces and nephews.
Predeceased relatives include his father, Robert P. Luther; mother, Angeline Castagna; brother, Donald C. Luther; sons, Robert J. Luther and John Edward Luther and grandson, Ryan Jay Cook.
