Rosa A. Rubio

Rosa Amelia Rubio, age 78, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on August 19, 2019. She was born on December 3, 1940 in El Cocuy, Colombia. She was the daughter of the predeceased Campo Elias Perez and Encarnacion Robayo.

She left this life surrounded by her family after a three-year battle with cancer. Rosa emanated selflessness and strength throughout her battle. She underwent countless chemotherapy and radiation sessions to prolong her life regardless of the side effects she endured because she loved her family.

Rosa immigrated to New York at the young age of 19 in hopes to provide for her family. On May 23, 1972, she married her forever love, Oscar Raul Rubio. They raised their family in Hackensack, New Jersey before moving to Jupiter, Florida.

Known for her indomitable spirit, Rosa will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, dotting grandmother, and steadfast friend. A proud homemaker, she was a garden enthusiast, sports lover and an excellent cook. She was a faithful Catholic and believed in giving to those less fortunate. Rosa always extended a warm welcome to all who entered her home, which was often filled with delicious meals, music and laughter.

She had an unwavering love for her four daughters and instilled in them the values of perseverance, hard work and family. She was the beloved mother of Anna Patricia (Patty) and her husband Bobby, Elizabeth (Lisa) and her husband Elan, Lorraine and her husband Jonathan, and Debbe. Her treasured grandchildren Rocco, Sophia, Anjali Rose, Andrew, Matthew, Kian, Natalya and Naomi Amelia brought her great joy.

Rosa has risen in glory with the heavenly angels in the name of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, eternally at peace. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 25th at Aycock-Riverside Funeral in Jupiter, Florida from 2-6 PM. Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Peter’s Church in Jupiter, Florida followed by the burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.

The family of Rosa would like to give a very special thank to the entire staff of TrustBridge Hospice for the professional care, comfort and compassion Rosa received during the final months of her life.
