She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Richard Anschutz and two sisters, Leolyn Fritz of Ohio and Marcia Brown, also a longtime Jupiter resident who passed in February at the age of 98.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Cathy Brown and partner Charles Brown of Palm Beach Gardens and grandchildren, Jason Mincey and his wife Nicole, Kevin Lehane and Garrett Brown; son, Steve Spitzer and his wife Jan of Ocala FL and grandchildren, Max and Jay Spitzer; step-daughters, Linda Bednarczyk of St. Petersburg FL and Debbie Keefe and her husband Jack, grandchildren, Brandon and Jerrit and great grandson, Jacob of Sanford FL. She is also survived by the children of her sisters; Tom Brown and wife Carla, Susan Brown and family of Las Vegas, Mark Fritz and wife Sue, Linda and her husband Elvin Burnell of Mansfield, Ohio, and Ronda and her husband Rich of Willard, Ohio.
Shirley loved music and founded the Choral Society of the Palm Beaches, active in the community performing concerts in the Palm Beaches since its inception in the 1960's. Shirley was also active in the church choir at the First United Presbyterian Church of Tequesta where husband Richard served as Deacon, Elder, and in various capacities over many years.
Devoted husband Richard as a VP at both Pratt and Whitney and Shearson Lehman, fell in love with Shirley’s smile, beauty and passion and spent the rest of his life serving Shirley and others. Through his service and unbound energy, they were blessed to travel to many beautiful destinations, and make a difference in the community, and most importantly, their families. The grief the family experiences at their loss is best offset by remembering their love for one another and the many blessings they bestowed on their family, church and community. God bless Shirley and Richard, together again.
