He worked for the Sugar Mill as a Truck Driver hauling sugar across warehouse to warehouse.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 8:00am to 9:30am at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului; prayer service to begin at 9:30am. He will be laid to rest at Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao at 11:00am.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Ethel Morreira Fernandez; children, Alvin Junior (Delfey) Fernandez, Alan A. Fernandez, Antonette (Tony) Fernandez; siblings, Joseph (Myena) Fernandez, Patrick- deceased (JoAnn) Fernandez, Elaine-deceased Fernandez, Patsy Dilly, Belinda Ortega; grandchildren, Holley Turpen, Alica and Leah Fernandez, Tori and Courtney Fernandez, Ana Fernandez, Anthony and Kawika Fernandez; great grandchildren, Macah, Davyn, Damein Turpen, Zyles and Zayan Sharp and Koa Fernandez.
