

Archie PiliKekai Dunn, better known by many as “Pili”, passed away on Sunday, August 13th at Maui Memorial, surrounded by his loving ‘Ohana. Pili was born in Wailuku on July 17th, 1983 and was raised in Lahaina and Kahakuloa. Pili graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 2001.
After graduating high school Pili went on to work in the food and beverage industry starting at Old Lahaina Luau, then over to Aloha Mixed Plate and ending his food service career at Kobe’s Japanese Steakhouse. His last 5 years he worked for the US Postal Service in Paia.
Pili was known for loving without barriers and it shined bright through his loved ones. He was always the first to lend a helping hand and willing to give the shirt off his back without expecting anything in return.
Pili is survived by his fiancé, Kayla Fagin, daughter Kulamanu Kathryn-Rose (6) and son Kekoa Jacob Dunn (4). His father Leslie Allen (Pamela) Dunn and mother RoseMary Malihini (Gregory) Keahi-Heath.
He is also survived by his siblings, Ryan Kealoha (Nani) Parker, Leslie Kana’au’ao (Dory) Dunn, Emmalia Leimaeole (Bennett) Dunn-Loope, Primrose Kaohuokalani (Isaiah) Abbey, and Keahi Anahu (Shelly) Dunn. Along with many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, 4pm to 9pm and on Saturday, September 23, 2023, 8am to 12pm; at Ballard Family Mortuary. Lunch to follow on Saturday, September 23, 2023, 1pm at Kula Arena (7038 Kula Hwy, Kula 96790). Here are the directions:
HALF mile past Kula Country Farms (makai side), pull through the double gate and follow the gravel road down to the arena.
