Clifford Allen Merriles

Clifford Allen Merriles 83 of Wailuku originally from Lahaina passed away in the hospital peacefully with family by his side on December 1,2024. He was born on February 22,1941 to the late Caesar and Lucy Merriles. Clifford worked for the County of Maui water department of Lahaina as a supervisor and later retired as an inspector. He also was a part time contractor for Rudy Tabbal building many houses in Lahaina town. After retirement Clifford was a crossing guard at Pu’u Kukui Elementary School.Clifford was preceded in death by his siblings Ralph and Lucille.

Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 41 happy years Diane “Dee” Merriles, daughters Nani Mendoza, Diane (Mark) Amaral, sons Duane (Sandi) Ignacio & Wesley (Sarah) Ignacio along with 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren all whom he loved spending time with. He is also survived by his sister Diane (Dave) Wanner, along with many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday January 17, 2025 at Ballard’s Family Mortuary from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by eulogy and prayer services. Burial to follow at 2:00PM at the Maui Memorial Cemetery Park.
