

Deanna was born on March 21, 1944, in Paia, Maui and was raised in Makawao Town. The second eldest of five children, she attended St. Joseph School. She graduated from Maui High school at Hamakuapoko. She met her life partner, Lieutenant Gary Danley Sr. and was married in 1963. They purchased a home in Pukalani where they raised their five children. Dee was blessed with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed spending time with. “Dee” also enjoyed fishing at her beach house in Keanae with friends and family during her retirement years.
Deanna is predeceased by husband Lt. Gary Danley Sr., mother Violet Kido, and sister Marilyn Hayashi.
She is survived by sons, Gary (Juleen Nakamoto) Danley Jr., Gregory (Karen) Danley and Guy (U’ilani) Danley. Daughters, Dina Danley and Dawn (Larry Becraft) Danley. Her grandchildren, Sharde (Jonathan) Danley-Tavares, Anela Danley, Leighton Kai Danley, and Kalena Danley and her great grandchildren, Quinn Danley-Tavares, Kennsley Danley-Tavares, Kyler “Shuku” Danley-Tavares; brothers, Harry “Pancho” (Kary) Takemoto, Ronald (Lynn) Takemoto and sister, Charmaigne (Rex Magnuson) Takemoto.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at St.Joseph Church Makawao, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Maui Veterans Cemetery.
