Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 6:00 p.m.; cremation will follow. The family requests aloha attire, and lei only.
Earl was a retired Operating Engineer who worked for Koga, Hawaiian Dredging, and Goodfellow Construction. He is predeceased by his step son , Walter L. (Althea) Nakoa; step daughter, Ruby Borrero; survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Pua Nakoa, step sons, Leonard K. (Mary) Nakoa Jr., Alexander “Alyka” (John) Nakoa-Clark, Leo Borrero, Rudy (marlene) Borrero; step daughters, Sarah K. Joao, Yolanda E. (Sione)Nasilai, Nancy K. Nakoa; hanai daughters, Rochelle Borrero, Susan Nakoa Ah Yee, Rosabella L. Hoopii; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
