Esperanza Engoring

Esperanza was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was the beloved wife of Martin Engoring Sr. and the cherished mother of Martin Engoring Jr. (Laura), Raymond Engoring (Velia), Karen Gomes (Frank), Caroline Keeler (Edward Sr.), Corinne Marfil (Kimo), and Cindy Garcia (Marcos). She was preceded in death by her sons Keoni Engoring and John Engoring, as well as her daughter Eunice Milika‘a (Edward Jr.).

She was the daughter of the late Numeriano Hernando and Helen Kaina and is also preceded by her father, Raymond Gumtang. Esperanza was a loving sister to Bruno Hernando (Peggy), Raymond Gumtang Jr. (Sheree), Earnest Gumtang (Karen), Leslie Gumtang (Trina), Isaac Kan Hai, Morris Tianio (Honey Girl), Eleanor Sajolan (Santos Sr.), Edna Favinger, and Estrelita Andaya (Alfredo). She was preceded in death by her sisters Evelyn Aragosa (Colburn Sr.) and Esther Williams (Larry) and her brother-in-law Mike Favinger.

Esperanza’s legacy lives on through her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish her memory. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
