Gerald"Captain" Green Jeans" Fernandez Jr., 60, of Pukalani, passed away on January 15, 2012 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Puunene, Maui on November 2, 1951. Gerald formerly worked for the State of Hawaii, Highway Division, as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He was an avid stock car racer and drag racer. He enjoyed building his classic and race cars, and loved to cruise with his classic cars along with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Paulette Breeden; mother, Frances Fernandez; sons, Edric (Melissa) Breeden, Gerald "Jerry Boy" (Sarie) Fernandez III, Kai Fernandez; daughter, Dawn Fernandez; sister, Harriet (Tetsuo) Gushi; grandson, Jayhart; nephews, James and John Mendes.
Services: Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Anthony Church, mass at 11:30 a.m., cremation to follow.
