Joseph Alfred Alconcel, Sr., 69, of Kahului, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Maui Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Alconcel, Sr., was born on August 11, 1941 in Hilo, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Judy Alconcel; two sons, Joseph Alconcel, Jr., and Chad (Tiare Aluli) Alconcel; three daughters, Tanya (Lee) Barbero, Trina (John) Napaepae, and Celeste (Barney) Mollena; two brothers, John G. Ramos and Larry Pagan; three sisters, Violet Diederiks, Rosita Ellison, and Evangeline Correa; nine grandchildren, Marlena and Isaiah Barbero, Cody Napaepae, Nicole, Jolynn, Chaz, Chanelle, Chardonnay Alconcel, and Kaohinani Mollena; and one great granddaughter, Aiyana Alconcel-Calasa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Q. Alconcel, Minnie Nobriga Pagan, and his brother, Frank "Chico" Alconcel.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for memorial services on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Borthwick Norman's Mortuary. Visitation will begin 9 a.m.
Services: Service over his urn at 11 a.m.
