

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marylee Ann Abreu; his father, Francis Alvin Abreu; and his mother, Irene Patricia Abreu.
Michael is survived by his life partner, Melanie Miura; his children, Jeremiah (Kristen) Abreu; Danielle (Marlou) Macanas; Melanie (Cody) Abreu and Levi (Jessie) Abreu; his brother, Mark (Gina) Abreu; his bonus children, Ross Miyabuchi and Jenna Miyabuchi; and his beloved grandchildren—Hezekiah Macanas, Ezekiel Macanas, Ahleya Loui, Silas Abreu and Asher Abreu.
Michael lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength. He was steady, dependable, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. After retiring from the Wailea Marriott Resort & Spa, Michael left behind a legacy of dedication and strong work ethic built over 39 years of service.
Michael attended Calvary Chapel Pukalani and loved Jesus with a sincere and enduring faith. He found joy in the outdoors and felt most at peace walking the beach, searching for sea glass—simple moments that reflected his appreciation for God’s creation.
Above all else, Michael treasured his family. He was an amazing partner, father, Papa, brother, and son, and he was truly adored by those who knew him in these roles. His presence brought steadiness, care, and unconditional love to his family’s lives.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
The family would like to thank everyone who loved and cared for Michael and prayed for them during their difficult time.
Michael will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.
