Murray C. Gardner, PhD., Capt. USMC (Res), Kamuela, Hawaii. Passed away January 2, at North Hawaii Community Hospital, Kamuela. Born in Brooklyn, NY, October 5, 1932.
He received his Bachelors Degree from Brooklyn College and his PhD. from the University of Arizona.Dr. Gardner was a Co-Founder, of GeothermEx, Inc., a geothermal consulting firm in California.
He is survived by his wife Donna Lee Gardner, Kamuela, Hawaii; children Annette L. Gardner (Charles Simons), Laytonville, California; Michael-M. C. Gardner (Amy Dickman) Lake Charles, Louisiana; brother Sherwin Gardner, Washington, DC; grandson Ian Gardner Simons, Arcata, CA; nieces and nephews and various grand pets.Murray’s interests included swimming, hiking, reading, and gardening. His philanthropic interests included Guide Dogs For the Blind.
Services to be held Wednesday, January 17, West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery, 12:00 Noon. Always…Semper Fidelis.
