Patricia Ulumealani Layton

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service will begin at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.

Family request casual aloha attire.

Patricia was a graduate of Farrington High School. She raised four children as a single parent through the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. She volunteered often throughout her life always looking out for those with less or falling on hard times. She dispatched for Freeman Guards, worked at Crazy Shirts, and managed public housing in Hilo before moving to Maui. On Maui she helped seniors while working at M.E.O. until her retirement. Post retirement she could be seen on her scooter through Maui Lani Parkway with her k9 companion Nani.

She is survived by her children, Michele H. Amison-Fellezs, Patricia U. Layton, and Jacque Mulleitner; step-children, Charles K. Tilton, David Tilton, Leilani Brosnan, and Lani Tilton; grandchildren, Jennifer Layton Gunter, Kari Layton, Gabe Imaoka, Konane Kishi, Amber Olson, Jr. Kishi, and Chase Kishi; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Patricia was predeceased by her son, Michael F. Layton.
