Pedro Cortez, 85, of Kahului, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 on Hale Makua- Kahului. Mr. Cortez was born on July 19, 1926 in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He was a crew chief with the Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company. He is survived by his wife, Dolinda Cortez; five sons, Alvin (Stephanie) Cortez, Daniel (Terry) Cortez, Robin (Joni DeMello) Cortez, Glen Cortez, and Gil Cortez; two daughters, Leilani Cortez, Alisa (Randy) Barido; five grandchildren, Nicole (Angel) Kahinu, Rhiana Cortez, Sydney Barido, Jeni Barido, and Danzelle Cortez; and a sister, Feliza Padre.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Christ The King Catholic Church. Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m.
Services: Mass at 11:30 a.m.
Interment: Burial will follow 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
