Pedro Taong Garcia, 91, of Paia, Hawaii, passed away on July 17, 2015, at Hale Makua in Kahului. He was born on February 18, 1924. Pedro retired as a maintenance man for Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Christ the King Church; mass will begin at 11:00 am, with lunch to follow from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Burial will take place at Valley Isle Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.
Pedro is survived by his wife, Emiliana Valdez Garcia; Sons, Martin (Sylvia) Garcia, Feliciano (Josefina) Garcia, Carlos (Adela) Garcia, Gerardo “Gerry” Garcia, Jimmy (Catalina) Garcia, Robert (Myrna) Garcia, Isidro (Sally) Garcia; Daughter, Saturnina “Nina” (Dave) Stroberg; Daughter-in-law, Imelda Garcia; Brother, Francisco Garcia; Sister, Dionisia Garcia; 21 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pedro was pre-deceased by his son, Domingo Garcia; brothers, Florencio Garcia and Mariano Garcia; sisters, Eustaquia Garcia and Beatriz Garcia Calar; and daughter-in-law, Helen Garcia.
