Petra Cosma Esmeralda

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Anthony’s church in Wailuku, with visitation from 9:00 am, with Mass at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Matias “Maxie” Esmeralda, sons, Peter (Joan) Valdez, Michael Valdez and Patrick Valdez; daughters, Loretta Mendez, Sylvia (DeLima) Valdez, Barbara Awa, Patricia (Thomas) Texeira, Theresa Valdez, Debbie (Allen) Arakawa and Suzette Esmeralda; brothers, Marion Cosma, Francis Cosma and Anthony Cosma; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Tanya (James Jones) Esmeralda and grandchild, Thomas Gregory Texeira, Jr.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunty. Her greatest virtues were love and patience. She had a great devotion to our Lord and Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary daily. She will be truly missed and always in our hearts and memories.
