William John Herbert, 88, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 13, 1923 in Watsonville, California. He achieved the rank of S. SGT. In the Army Air Corps, during WWII while serving in the European Theater. On June 20, 1962, in the State of Hawaii, he became a "Kaima'aina" when he married his beloved Genevieve Leiola. He was employed with Ameron HC&D and worked as a maintenance superintendant at their Kapa'a Quarry location on the island of Oahu during the 1970's and early 1980's. He is survived by his beloved wife, Genevieve Leiola Herbert; son, John William (Mi- Sun) Herbert; daughter, Carolyn Marie (William) Roback and many loving family members.
