Micheline Audrey Stainton

Mich was born to Norman and Aline Iredale in Calgary, Alberta on January 31, 1953. She spent her early years enjoying swimming, playing volleyball, and vacationing in beautiful Balfour, BC.

In Balfour, she first met the future love of her life, Timothy. They married on May 19, 1973 and raised two fantastic and darling daughters. Mich devoted her time to her family, remaining at home for many years before returning to school, then finding life-fulfilling work as a post-secondary instructor. First, at The College of the Rockies in Golden, BC; then at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, BC.

She touched the lives of many throughout her life. Her zest for life and unique sense of humour will be missed dearly.

Left to mourn her passing, husband of 41 years, Timothy; daughters Cammie (Trevor) Leadley and Jenn (Shane) Stringer; the light of her life, her granddaughters Maddie and Sophie Leadley; her mother Aline; her brothers John (Patti), Don (Nina), Geoff (Lisa); mother-in-law Mabel; sisters-in-law Leah and Kathy (John); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, 1:00 pm in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Louise Peters officiating.
