Richard “Lee” Patjas passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, in Kamloops, British Columbia, at the age of 88. Lee was born on December 25, 1937, in Thorhild, Alberta, to Otto and Alice Patjas. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Elsie, and his brother Ray. He is lovingly remembered by his brother John (Lou). Lee shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marjorie. Together, they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family. He was a proud and devoted father to his sons Brian (Dana) and Brad (Lee), and a cherished grandfather to Justin, Brianna, Izaak, and Aysia. Lee was also a great-grandfather to six beautiful boys, with one more precious addition on the way. A dedicated and hardworking man, Lee built a successful career as a talented welder. In his early years, he worked in the oil fields of Libya, demonstrating both skill and determination. After raising their family in Alberta, Lee and Marjorie followed their sons to the Okanagan, where they enjoyed their retirement years together. His kindness, strength, and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His legacy lives on through the generations of family who loved him so dearly.
