

Ruth Suzanne Hayward (Rowe) passed away surrounded by her loving family at Berwick on the Park on May 27th, 2013. Born in Kamloops March 20th 1917, Ruth loved this town and was happy to call the hills of Kamloops home. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Rowe, daughter Elizabeth, brother Leonard and sister-in-law Amelia Rowe. Her husband of 60 years, Lloyd Hayward passed away in March 2002.
The Hayward family owned the largest sheep ranch in Canada, from the 1930's - 1965. Many in the area will remember her gracious hospitality when they ventured to their Westsyde ranch to enjoy the annual spring "lambing time".
Ruth was admired for her grace, her empathy and her ability to see the bright side of life. She was active in many local organizations which she enjoyed for the good of her home town, Kamloops.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dianne (Roly), son Bob, twin grandsons Mark (Becky) & Mike (Kate), great grandchildren Hudson, Zachary & Macy Ruth Duhaime and her sister Phyllis Davies.
Memorial service will be held in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 1st, 2013 at 11a.m.
