Winston Bernard Knoll died peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on November 02, 2014 at Kamloops Seniors Village in Kamloops, BC.
Winston Knoll was born on the family farm outside of Yorkton, Sask. After growing up and attending local schools, Winston went on to achieve his Bachelor's of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Winston married his childhood sweetheart, Lorene Grunert on July 21, 1950 at West Ebenezer Baptist Church, north of Yorkton, Sask. After marrying, the newlyweds moved to Regina where they resided until 1995. During retirement, they moved to Kelowna, BC, then in 2011 to Kamloops, BC to be nearer their son, Dale.
Winston worked tirelessly for the Regina Board of Education for 3 decades becoming the Superintendent of Business Affairs. Upon retirement, the Regina Board of Education named Winston Knoll Collegiate, a northwest Regina secondary school after him. He was delighted and honored.
Winston was faithful to his Lord and Heavenly Father throughout his life. His rich baritone voice was his instrument, accompanied often by his beloved wife on the piano, in every church he attended as long as he could.
Winston was predeceased by his loving wife, Lorene (Lorraine) Knoll (2012-04-06). He leaves his two sons, Dale (married to Dorothy), Garry (married to Susan), 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A family interment will occur on November 07, 2014 at 2:30 pm. at Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops, BC.
