Diana Gail (Saunders) Sanchez passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 74. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 8, 1951, to William Wesley and Gertrude Helen (Horswill) Saunders. She graduated from Punahou School in Honolulu in 1970 and Pitzer College in Claremont, California in 1974. After college, she returned to Honolulu where she lived the rest of her life.
Diana was known for her kind and compassionate nature and her subtle, wry sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Elizabeth Anne Saunders, and is survived by her son, Jonathan Alexander Sanchez, her brother, Bill Saunders, Jr. and five nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Diana will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744.
