MILDRED M HIGA (née SADOYAMA), age 91, of Aiea, O’ahu, Hawai’i, passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2023. She was born in Kane’ohe, Hawai’i, on July 14, 1932. She completed a nursing degree at Loma Linda University in 1957 and then married Harry H Higa in 1964 in California.
She is survived by her only daughter, Marlene Quibell (Jeff) and her two grandsons, Jared and Logan. She was predeceased by Harry in 2002.
Mildred unwaveringly devoted herself to family, friends and to her faith community, Aiea SDA Church. In her spare time, she proved herself a magnificent gardener.
Celebration of Life will be held at Aiea Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm. Casual attire. No flowers. Donations gratefully accepted in her memory to Sjögren’s Foundation, Loma Linda University School of Nursing and Hawaiian Mission Academy.
