June 29, 1964 – January 11, 2026
Pauline Frances Dabis was born on June 29, 1964, in Kalihi, Hawaiʻi, where her story began and her strong, independent spirit was shaped. She passed peacefully on January 11, 2026, in ʻEwa Beach, Hawaiʻi, leaving behind a life that was anything but ordinary.
Pauline was a mother to her children, Chris (Irene) and Magi (Kelsey). Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Kaikoa, Ainakoa, Manakoa, Irie, and Sophie, each of whom brought light and laughter into her life. She is also remembered by her siblings, Warren, Deborah, Brian, Allison, and Paula.
A hard worker throughout her life, Pauline held many jobs, including at Jeans Warehouse, Mitsuba Delicatessen, Jackie’s Diner, United Laundry Service, Chun Wa Kam, and Honolulu Cookie Company. No matter where she worked, she brought her unmistakable personality and determination with her.
Pauline had a lifelong love for animals and welcomed many pets into her home—birds, mice, fish, guinea pig, and especially her cherished dog, Wags, and cat, Spooky, who held a special place in her heart.
Known for her free spirit and strong will, Pauline was always on the move—busy, curious, and impossible to keep up with. She stood firmly in her beliefs, spoke her mind, and lived life exactly the way she wanted to. Her strength, independence, and unmistakable presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
