Bob was a hard worker for his entire life, starting as a boy working for his father in a grocery store in Lambert, Mississippi. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Navy. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and served for six years as a submariner. Most of his career was spent in information technology. He most recently served as an information systems security manager for the Department of Defense.
He met his late wife, Lauren, while working as a civilian contractor in the Philippines. They would eventually settle down in Kapolei, Hawaii raising their three children, Jojo, Jessica, and Jericho. After Lauren’s passing in 2006, Bob got remarried in 2009 to his wife Lean and they had a son, Timothy.
While he enjoyed his work, what he loved the most was spending time with his many friends and his family. Bob was the life of the party everywhere he went and always enjoyed a good debate about politics. He was kind, loyal, generous, and a beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lean; his four children, Timothy, Jojo, Jessica, and Jericho; four grandchildren; his brothers Jim and Bill Shelton; and his sisters Joyce Perry, Mary Nobile, Roberta Atkinson and Anne Schuler.
A private celebration of life is being held by family.
