

Barbara “Barb” Belt, 58, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. Visitation will be Friday, November 6th from 4:30-7:00PM and prayer service at 7:00PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS 66112. Barb was born September 2, 1957 to George and Pauline (Goodman) Balliett in KCK. She graduated from Schlagle High School in 1975. Barb was a devoted single mother volunteering her time with booster club for one daughter while also being a Girl Scout leader for her other daughter. On October 1, 2005, Barb married Floyd Belt. She was a member of Trinity Community Church. Barb was extremely active in her community and volunteered with United Way, Angel Tree Program, and SIDS Foundation. She loved to help others with anything they may need. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and in her free time enjoyed watching the Royals and Chiefs, scrapbooking, planning and hosting parties, collecting gnomes, but most of all, spending time with her grandkids.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline; brother, James Donald Balliett, granddaughter, Tricia Rae and life-long friend, Debra Swafford. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Belt; daughter, Rachael McCall along with her children, Tylarr and Zmark Jr.; daughter, Sarah (Chris) Sheley along with their children, Emily, Anthony, Lexie and Kaylee; brothers, Robert (D’Anna) Balliett and Randy (Liliana) Balliett as well as a host of family and friends.
