

Bonnie J. Magee, 88, of KCK, passed away April 26, 2013 at home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 30th at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice.
Bonnie was born October 5, 1924 in Muncie, Kansas to John B. and Lola Ann (Brown) Converse. She graduated from Turner High School in 1942 and married the love of her life, Charles Henry Magee later that year, the day before he left for the war. Bonnie was a homemaker and later in life, went back to school to learn shorthand at Wright Business School, and worked as a secretary at KCKCC. She was a Baptist and her faith was very important to her. Bonnie was an avid golfer and bowler, was a member of the Moose Lodge and Victory Hills Country Club, enjoyed writing poetry, traveling and taking care of all her four-legged friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lola Converse, her husband of over 50 years, who passed on the exact same day in 1993, Charles Henry Magee, and her three brothers Herbert, John and William Converse.
She is survived by her two children, Connie Hall and her husband Bobby and Mike Magee and his wife Rusty; six grandchildren, Michael, David, Shawn, Christopher Hall , Nicholas Magee and Julie Magee-Creek; nineteen great-grandchildren, Joshua, Lauren, Tyler, Kaitlin, Jacob, Michaela, Mariah, Jordan, Taylor and Justin Hall, Nicholas Tyler Magee, Livia Rose Magee, August Jackson Magee, Tim Creek, Jr., Shannon Creek, Hannah Creek, Meagan Creek, Kelsey Nicole Bohn and Wyatt Creek; as well as her sister-in-law, Betty Converse and many other family and friends.
