Brianna Marie Willmon

Brianna Marie Willmon, 17, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away February 16, 2018 at home. A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Wed., Feb. 21st at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thurs., Feb. 22nd at Village West Family Church, 2205 N. 105th St., KCK 66109. Memorial contributions may be made to the Life Skills class at Bonner Springs High School.

Brianna Willmon was born January 20th, 2001 in Overland Park, Kansas at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Her father is Anthony Willmon Sr. and her mother is Gina Lewis.

Brianna was a sophomore at Bonner Springs High School. Brianna was a part of the Life Skill’s classroom. She was very active in the Bonner Springs Special Olympics: She participated in swimming, track, and bowling. Brianna was also a part of Access Dance; a dance class for special needs individuals. Brianna loved to watch Disney movies and playing on her tablet. She was very keen on taking as many selfies and homemade videos as much as she could.

Brianna has never met a stranger and she was very quick to give hugs to anyone she had contact with. Brianna had an infectious laugh and there was no doubt that she could get you to laughing as well. Her smile was absolute pure gold. Brianna was very sensitive to emotions, she could always tell when someone was upset. She would just give you her huge bear hug and somehow, everything that you worried or were upset about, simply went away.

Brianna preceded in death after her uncle, John Willmon.

Brianna is survived by her grandmother and legal guardian, Amber K. Duren; her papa, Kenneth Willmon (Lori); her grandparents, Rhonda and Jack Lewis; her sister, Megan Willmon; her brother, Anthony “Tony” Wayne Willmon; her great uncles, Mike and Tim Hasty; her uncle Stephen Willmon (Becki); her aunts, Carrie Willmon and Vicki Godsey Willmon Puckett; her mother, Gina Lewis; her father, Anthony Wayne Willmon Sr,; and as well all her cousins, other relatives, and friends.
