Cecil R. Green, 94, of KCK passed away November 19, 2014. A visitation will be held Monday, November 24th from 10:00-11:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., KCKS. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice in honor of Cecil.
Cecil was born April 19, 1920 to Vernon and Dora Green. He lived in KCK the majority of his life. Cecil married Lucy on November 11, 1943 and they spent 68 years together before her passing in 2012. He served in World War II before working at the Phillips Refinery. After his retirement, Cecil enjoyed golf and traveling. He was a loving and generous father and grandfather who was devoted to his family. He will be missed by all.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy; grandson, Rod Hightower; sisters, Bessie, Edna, Frances and Doris and brothers, Arthur, Herbert and Bobby. He is survived by his daughters, Judith (Emmitt) Hightower and Kathy (Will) Thomas; sons, Ron (Connie) Green and Richard (Sandra) Green; brother, Vernon (Chris) Green; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
