Charles Parnham Stapleton, age 90, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Charles was a treasured husband, cherished father, and beloved grandfather. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas where he attended Wyandotte High School then served in the Navy R.O.T.C.. He retired after 33 years as a supervisor at the Board of Public Utilities.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles Thomas and Mabel Parnham Stapleton, his first wife Marilyn Arlene Kincaid Stapleton, his sister Roberta Mae Seymour, and son Matthew Ray Alexander.
Charles is survived by his wife of 42 years Patricia Rockwell Stapleton along with his children: Charles Paul Stapleton, Arlene Michelle Hayman, Carla Sue Rollwagon (Michael), Kimberly Jean Hamilton, Mark Garrin Stapleton, Elena Maria Martineau (Andrew), Christopher Brian Alexander (Sabrina), John Scott Alexander (Pamela), Thatcher Dean Alexander (Jalane), Julie Ann Alexander, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 9:00 am – 11:00 am Thursday, February 6 at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112 with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A meal and fellowship immediately following at White Church Christian Church 2200 North 85th Street Kansas City, Kansas 66109. All are welcome.
