Chris Melcher

Chris was born July 23, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas to parents Cleo E. and Patricia J. (Stoll) Melcher. He grew up in Salina, Kansas, where he attended Sacred Heart High School. Christ completed his associate degree in criminal studies at Penn Valley Community College. Chris lived most of his adult life in the Kansas City area, moved for a few years to the Phoenix area, returning to Kansa s City in 2012. Chris worked in law enforcement and security throughout his life. Chris actively supported heart health programs and was a certified trainer of CPR. Christ was a life-long passionate supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, Arnold. Survivors include his two sisters, Madelon Scripter and her husband Lowell of Council Grove, Kansas and Denise Batchelor and her husband Daryl of Hutchinson, Kansas; plus his two brothers, Andrew Melcher of Greeley, Colorado, and Michael Melcher and his wife Susan of Overland Park, Kansas, as well as nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
