Daniel Joseph Gray Sr.

May 22, 1959 – December 27, 2024

Daniel J. Gray age 65, passed away on December 27, 2024 in Tonganoxie, Kansas. He was born May 22, 1959 to Joseph and Frances (Marchand) Gray in Kansas City, Kansas.

Daniel proudly served in the United States Army from 1977-1980 and 1985-1992. He was deployed to Iraq in 1990 during Operation Desert Storm. Daniel worked for the U.S. Postal service from 1994 until 2006 when he retired. Throughout his life, Daniel enjoyed spending time with his wife Kim, fishing, and watching Kansas City Chiefs football.

Daniel is survived by his wife Kimberly (Gifford) Gray, who he was married to for 37 years, children Brent Parker Gray, and Daniel Joseph II, siblings Martha Blair, Diane Gray, Colleen Taylor, Kenneth Gray, Mark Gray, Bridget Dowling, Kevin Gray, Joseph Gray, and Vincent Gray, grandchildren Halie, Taylor, Kabreya, Kaleb, Elijah, Mackenzie, Jayden, and Luke, great-grandchildren Zarrina and Yuna.

Daniel was preceded in death by daughter Wendy Marie, brother Richard Gray, and his parents Joseph and Frances.

Services for Daniel will be at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home on January 8th. There will be a visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am, followed by a funeral service, He will be laid to rest at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
