Dennis "Denny" Lee Billings

Dennis L. Billings “Denny”, 77, Kansas City, Kansas passed away June 3, 2018. A visitation will be from 1-2 PM with a funeral service at 2 PM, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Denny was born on October 26, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to Neville and Roberta Billings. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1958. He worked for the Kansas City Star for 42 years, starting as a printer and then becoming Production Coordinator and retired in 2000.

Denny was an avid Nascar and KU fan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Denny had a contagious laugh and smile and brought joy to everyone that he came in contact with.

He was preceded in passing by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Judy; sons, Dennis (Tonja) Billings, Jr and Scott (Pam) Billings; grandchildren, Shawn Coy, Katie Payne and Kaley Dixon; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Schoneman, Bob (Evette) Billings and Richard (Paula) Billings; and multiple nieces and nephews.
