Dorothy E. Hudson

Born a ‘late firecracker’ on July 5, 1922, the daughter of Rose Bauer Edwards and John A. Edwards, she was a proud third generation Kansan.

Dorothy was a supportive partner and wife to James C. Hudson for over 60 years. He preceded her in death.

She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, and gardener. Her lifelong passion was her family and her faith. She had been a member of Wyandotte United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Hudson Martin, Janet Hudson Turnure and her husband, John; two grandchildren, Crystal Martin Glenn (Chad) and Scott Hudson Martin, and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 17th in the sanctuary at Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 79th & Oakland. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to services. Memorial contributions may be given to Wyandotte United Methodist Church.
