Dorothy L. Kramer

Dorothy L. Kramer, 90, of Basehor, KS, passed away January 3, 2017. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30am, Sat., Jan. 7, 2017, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30am all at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Dorothy was born August 22, 1926 in Holliday, KS to Charles and Mary E. Miller, one of fourteen children. She worked as a secretary and in sales but was mostly known for the loving care she took of her family. Dorothy shared over sixty-eight years of marriage with Arthur Kramer. She loved shopping, especially when she had a coupon. Dorothy was always dressed to perfection and always had an outfit for every occasion. She was preceded in death by her parents; eleven brothers and sisters; and her son-in-law.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Arthur Kramer; her brother, John Miller; her sister, Anna Wagner (Larry); her daughter, Barbara Greene; her son, Michael Kramer and his wife Gayle; her grandson, Christopher Smith and his wife Laura and their children, Kason, Macklyn, and Finley; her granddaughter, Jennifer Smith and her children, Jordan, Miranda, and Ashlyn.
