Edith H. Henry, 98, passed away December 2, 2015. Edith was born April 2, 1917 in Fort Scott, Kansas to William and Mary (Gardner) Strader. She spent the majority of her life in the Kansas City, Kansas area working in the cafeterias at Schlagle and Washington High Schools. In her free time, Edith received great joy from bird watching.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers and sisters and husband, Al Henry. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Patricia Parks and Barbara Shockley; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren as well as many other family and friends.
Graveside service will be held Monday, December 7th at 10:30AM at Quindaro Cemetery at 36th & Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd. Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
