Frances was born February 23, 1940 in Altus, Arkansas. She moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1961 where she raised her family. Frances will be remembered for her kindness and compassion, welcoming personality and sense of humor. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and KU Jayhawk basketball.
Frances is survived by her best friend and husband of 57 years, Elwood Thompson; one daughter, Lisa Thompson and spouse Erica Osborne of Olathe, KS and one son, Christopher Thompson and spouse Beth Thompson of Kansas City, MO; brothers Michael Buck of Ozark, AR and Kenneth Buck of Altus, AR.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00am, Monday, June 25, 2018, with visitation from 10:00-11:00am preceding the service at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112.
