

Fred Brooks, 94, of KCK, passed away July 5, 2017. Visitation will be Monday, July 10, 2017 from 10-11am, with funeral services at 11am, all at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Assembly Church.
Fred was born December 31, 1922 in Kansas City, KS to Morris and Sally Brooks. He served in the US Army during WWII for three years in the Department of Engineering in White Horse, Canada. Fred was joined in marriage to Ruth Moore. He worked for many years as a real estate builder and broker, he sold insurance, and he owned his own cleaning company, A1 Building Maintenance. He retired in 2009. Fred was a member of Victory Assembly for over forty years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and relaxing at the Lake of the Ozarks. But his greatest joy was his family.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Ruth Brooks; his daughter, Carolyn Parks; and his siblings, Jim, Aaron, Richard, Naomi, Gaitha, and Martha.
He is survived by his daughter, Sondra Tramel (Phillip); his grandchildren, Robin Duncan (Rich), Fred Utter, Jimmy Lawson, Todd Weiss, Troy Weiss, Chris Tramel (Stephanie), Andrea Messinger (Fred), Brenda Gower (John), Corey Tramel, and Ryan Tramel; as well as twenty-two great-grandchildren and fourteen great great-grandchildren.
