George E. Richardson

George E. Richardson, 87, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2015. He was born August 31, 1927 to Frank and Earline Richardson. He lived in the KCK area and was a member of London Heights Baptist Church. George served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class during WWII and received an honorable discharge in November of 1947. He worked in the dairy industry for 32 years before retirement.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife Peggy of 61 years, and brother, Gene. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Linda (Richard) Rosewicz; son, Mark (Karen) Richardson; grandchildren, Brian Rosewicz, Angela Rosewicz, Brad Richardson, Amanda Whitfield, and Marni Arevalo; great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Aubrianna, Cody, Becca, Alexandra, Jason and Caleb.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 1st from 1:00-2:00PM with a funeral service following at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS 66112. Ph: 913-334-3366. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 7527 State Ave., KCKS 66112 or Manhattan Christian College, 1415 Anderson Ave., Manhattan, KS 66502.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of Victory Hills as well as Continua Hospice for the care, compassion, and love that they showed not only to George but also his family during his stay with them.
