Hi, it’s me JaKaiya, I was born October 23, 2021, to my mommy
KimQisha Johnson and my daddy Johnny Nixon Jr.
I loved being held and cuddled by my family. We often shared our special “Butterfly Kisses”. Those were the greatest! I could sit by myself and play to strengthen my body. My mommy read stories to me as I laid in the bed. My favorite toys were the musical ones or that yellow squeaky toy in the hospital. I know it took a lot to take care for me with all those things they sent home from the hospital; the feeding tube, I kept pulling from my nose, the suction machine that made all that noise, so I knew it was coming and I’d squeeze my lips as tight as I could and the cough assist machine, I did not like at all but I knew it was to help clear my lungs since I couldn’t cough. I liked playing the Nintendo Switch with my KeiShaun, listening to bedtime lullabies with my Bryson to help me go to sleep, I loved to watch Peppa Pig or My Little Pony with my Tee Tee and Zhay. I remember going into Granny’s room to visit, she would always sing her church song (Salt of the Earth) to me. I was very attentive and would watch her mouth move. When it was something I wanted, I had my own little way of getting everyone’s attention; Pointing my finger like my PawPaw, shaking my head “NO” or letting a little tear fall from my eyes every now and then. I’m was tough like my mommy. All of my friends at Ms. Aunie’s Daycare will surely be missed. Tell my friends when they are watching Gracie’s Corner, think of me sitting in the highchair joining in and kicking my feet. Oh, and, don’t forget about me pointing my finger and shaking my head “No” at Ms. Aunie! I would just laugh when she would threaten to give her “Sweets” crawling papers. Picture me now, shaking my head no and pointing my finger telling everyone that I am ok! On the first day of February, I became a Real Butterfly and received my heavenly wings, imagine that! Mommy’s “Butterfly” is flying high with my Grandpa Johnny Nixon Sr, my Great-Grandparents; Shirley Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson, Edith Mays, Virgil and Elouise McGee all who are loving me with Butterfly Kisses. To all my family and friends, take care of my mommy KimQisha Johnson, my daddy Johnny Nixon Jr.; my two brothers; KeiShaun Johnson and Bryson Bassett; my grandparents Karen Johnson, Victor (Sandra) Harris and Deborah McGee; my great grandpa Robert (Oma) Gardner; my Godparents Quinishia Tatum (TeeTee), Shemeka Jackson and Nickkole Wyatt; my bonus aunties Traci Walton and AnDrienna Wilson; a host of aunts, uncles, great-aunt, great uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. A special thank you to Andrea (Momma Aunie) Hicks family and Ms. Aunie’s Daycare. I enjoyed all the field trips. You helped to pray for my healing, to keep me here as long as I was. You said, “I was the bonus from your relationship” with my Mommy, but really, Momma Aunie and Mr. Todd and your family were “My Bonus.” Being as sick as I was you continued to take me in your home, so that mommy could go to work. I will watch over you guys forever.
My last special message is coming in a video clip.
