James Vogt, Jr., “Jim”, 49 of Kansas City, Kansas passed November 19, 2011 after a long illness. Jim was born January 29, 1962 in Morgan County, Missouri, the son of James and Mary Vogt. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed making plaques and watching movies. A pet lover, he leaves behind his beloved cat, “Bullseyes”. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Clarence & Florence Vogt and Bill & Melva Pierce. Survivors include his mother and stepfather: Mary & Jerry Horton of Kansas City, Kansas; father and stepmother: James & Wilma Vogt; son: Justin Vogt of Lenexa, Kansas; daughters: Jennifer Arganbright and her husband Marcus of Paola, Kansas, Casandra E. Vogt of Paola, Kansas and Courtney Smith of Wichita, Kansas; and four grandchildren: Kiersten Pate, Anthony Pate, Connor Vogt and Logan Pate.
The family would like to invite friends and family to the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23 for a gathering of friends.
