

Janice Lee (Bell) Comer, 80, of Edwardsville, Kansas passed away December 1, 2015. She was born February 15, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alton S. and Frances LaRue (Daniels) Bell. Janice graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City before earning her Registered Nursing degree from the University of Oklahoma. On April 29, 1955, Janice married the love of her life, Richard Comer. She worked at a hospital as a registered nurse until her children were born and Janice took on the duties of homemaker for the family until the late 70’s. After the late 70’s, Janice began working for a drug store until her retirement in 1987. Throughout her life, Janice and Richard lived in a number of places including Oklahoma City, Dallax, TX, Cinncinnati, OH, Lenexa, KS, Plano, TX and lastly Edwardsville, Kansas.
In her free time, Janice loved to participate in bowling leagues with her husband, watching ice skating and gymnastics during the Olympics, sewing and needlework, traveling, going to the casino and most of all, spending time with her dogs.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Alton and France Bell and husband, Richard Comer. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, David (Sara) Comer and Daniel (Susan) Comer; grandchildren, Lauren (Spencer) Fracassa, Adam Comer, Samuel Comer, Charles Comer, Seth Comer, Katie Comer, and Thomas Comer; great-granddaughters, Adley Fracassa, Eizley Fracassa and Lorelai Fracassa.
