Janice "Jan" S. King

Janice S. King, 66, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 19th from 6:00-8:00PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Funeral service at 11:00AM, Friday, May 20th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Boulevard., Miami, Florida 33134.

Jan was born March 10, 1950 to Jack & Elsie (Brown) Winslow in Kansas City, Missouri. She lived in the Kansas City area, graduating from Wyandotte High School. Jan worked as a pharmacy technician for Osco Pharmacy (now CVS) for 30 years before retirement. She loved to watch the Royals and NASCAR, rooting for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Jan also enjoyed sewing and crafting in her free time.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jeany Whitaker; sister, Brenda Winslow; and nephew, Jack Sanford.

She is survived by her fiancé, Don Morgan; daughter, Angie (Glen) McKenna; grandchildren, Katelyn Bruce, Tyler Smith, Alyson McKenna and Sara Morgan as well as her niece, Shawn Poindexter.
